The head and footboards are custom made of solid Pacific Coast Maple from managed forests in the Pacific Northwest, and the beauty of the finish is brought out with hand-rubbed non-toxic polyurethane that includes tung oil and pure beeswax rather than harsh chemicals. Beautifully handcrafted underbed storage drawers with sliding dovetail joints are sold separately and can add much needed space to a bedroom!
